Sorry but I can't agree with that. In order to keep or increase our current standard of living any of these alternates will have to be exploited at a 10 to 1 minimum to replace oil. Oil is just that good of an energy source and it's going to start declining in the near future. Everything points to that.Hmmmm. The energy density of Uranium is only about 1200 times that of oil. Not that oil isn't a potent energy source mind you, and that vast money hasn't been spent to make it the Dominant One, but there's a whole lot more of a whole lot of other stuff, even just within the Geoconstitutional boundary of the US.

Nuclear and thermal are great resources.
Iceland is going to be powered completely by thermal and hydro in the near future.
