Sen. Barack Obama's pastor says blacks should not sing "God Bless America" but "God damn America."
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor for the last 20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's south side, has a long history of what even Obama's campaign aides concede is "inflammatory rhetoric," including the assertion that the United States brought on the 9/11 attacks with its own "terrorism."
In a campaign appearance earlier this month, Sen. Obama said, "I don't think my church is actually particularly controversial." He said Rev. Wright "is like an old uncle who says things I don't always agree with," telling a Jewish group that everyone has someone like that in their family.
Rev. Wright married Obama and his wife Michelle, baptized their two daughters and is credited by Obama for the title of his book, "The Audacity of Hope."

Which specific Scriptural lesson does this sermon expound?
The parable of the evil whitey
This makes Ward Churchill seem pro-america
We have to occaisionally be around that old uncle, but we don’t go to them for spiritual guidance.
It would make physically ill to have a pastor that punctuated a point in a sermon by humping in back of the pulpit. It’s disgusting. That Obama could even go to this “church” should be a warning sign.
Hasta la vista, baby.
All of this Obama stuff is great, but couldn’t we have waited a couple of months before bringing it out?
Conservatives should do everything they can to put a lid on these stories until he’s the nominee, otherwise, we are helping the Democrats and especially the Clintons.
If you think that she is the easier one to beat, you are deluding yourselves. Rush and Hannity would prefer a Clinton presidency.
“Wright “is like an old uncle who says things I don’t always agree with,””
Well, do you or do you not agree with this particular outrageous statement, ORacist?
Why or why not?
And now for the hard part:
BE SPECIFIC
I don’t choose when ABC decides to air it. Just like I don’t choose when Spitzer is busted for prostitution. Too bad it did not happen during his campaign.
so, let me get this straight..this “pastor” engages in racial innuendo, inflammatory anti-white speech, anti-america rants etc..and O’Bama says nothing..
but if a white woman DARE say he’s where he’s at because he’s black, (which is true), HE comes unglued with the “you’re a racist” comment???
another reason to vote McCain
First, since when is Jeremiah Wright his FORMER pastor? Last I heard, Obama has been a member at Trinity for 20 years. Wright has been a formative effect on Obama for all that time, inspiring Obama's book "The Audacity of Hope" from a Wright sermon of the same name. Obama sought Wright out when searching for a church home, and after 20 years, if Obama were offended by Wright's racism and anti-Americanism, he has had 20 years in which to leave and find a more mainstream church. Obama didn't leave.
The more I hear of Jeremiah Wright, and the more I think about Obama staying there for 20 years, the more I understand Obama's refusing to wear a flag pin.
you’re asking him to be specific??..you $%$#@*&^%^&% RACIST../s
But, these other news outlets would not have looked into these things yet unless the likes of Hannity and Rush weren’t bringing huge attention to them.
I guarantee you that if the queen somehow survives the Dem nomination process, she will beat McCain by 20 points.
This country was never going to elect Barack Obama to the presidency in the first place.
FORMER?? when did this happen..all you hear is O’Bama talkin about this controversial church he belongs to..if this guy is his FORMER paster, where is O’Bama a member now??
I don’t control Hannity and Rush either. LOL
