Lawrence Alvin Lovette Jr., 17, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with murder in the death of UNC student Eve Carson. Durham police have also charged him in connection with the January death of Duke University graduate student Abhijit Mahato, 29, a Ph.D. engineering candidate from India.
