As a business owner, we too have to report these kinds of transactions. If someone wishes to purchase a product we sell with cash over $10,000, we have to rat them out to the government. We occasionally get a visit from the IRS to check our compliance and are fined if our paperwork isn’t perfect. It’s kind of like dealing with the mob.
