Good to see that somebody is benefiting from drug testing, even if it's not the businesses that require the testing as much as the companies doing (and beating) the tests.

Once we start having high school students pee in a cup, can victory in the War On Drugs be far behind?

The war on drugs won’t be won until people have to take a drug test to receive a welfare check.

If I’m an employer why shouldn’t I know if employees/potential employees are using?

I’d still like to see an all-drug Olympics.

“The war on drugs won’t be won until people have to take a drug test to receive a welfare check.”

Actually, the illegal drug trade is largely buoyed the middle class on up. There is an old saying...brown people grow ‘em, black people sell ‘em , and white people buy ‘em.

And in return, your workers should demand than you drop your pants and piss in a cup in front of them, so they can be assured that their employer is drug free. It’s a two-way street.

While I would happily oblige, they would be in a position to demand nothing. They would be free to seek out another employer if they wish. Ultimately, it's a business decision.

I don’t believe that. Especially when you consider that blacks are a minority, percentage-wise, drugs are a part of the lifestyle in many more black homes than white.

And if you’re an employer who thinks it’s a crappy idea, why shouldn’t you let the gubmint force you to do it?

Just described my late teens to early twenties to a "T". ;-)

Just a few more threads over that sleeping giant and by the time he wakes up, he won’t be able to move.

You’re entitiled to your own opinion, and I’m not gonna argue with you but I think you are confusing what you see on the news with reality. I’m taking this slow with you because you might not really know what the deal is, I’m speaking on this from first hand experience. The drug trade is not mostly supported by ghetto folks scoring dope 5 or 10 dollars at a time, the real money comes from the middle-classers coming in from the suburbs with 100, 200 dollars at a time. I’m not trying to turn this racial or start a fight, but I think you should know the truth.

You want my urine, just ask for it. You can then soak it up off your shirt and test it. That’s my policy.

Whenever a significant proportion of a society ceases to have any internal control over itself and its vices and habits, control from without becomes the rule, basically to prevent a society from killing itself off, or becoming a nation (in this case) of drug laced imbeciles.

Simply put, when people won't control themselves, others will control them.
