“Behold the “victimless” crime of prostitution. Hard to believe these girls would turn to drugs. Having sex with strangers for money, nothing to live for...”

Required reading for some of the sophomoric juvenilia posted here on FR regarding prostitution.

Disappointing to see on this site.

Most of the time, Ann's got it backwards. It's the addiction to drugs or alcohol (or both) that usually leads to prostitution. And unfortunately, it the law that turns what could often be a "victimless crime" into one where the prostitutes themselves are the victims.

Not in my experience. I used to hire topless dancers for clubs, most
were only 18 and were hired to wait tables at first. they were as clean
as snow white. Until they saw the money to be made with their
clothes off. Drugs always followed through pier pressure from the
other girls. Usually the older women in the clubs would sell them
what they needed to get through the nights.

It's not the drugs that come first, I can assure you that maybe 10%
were on drugs before they began their career. We wouldn't hire them
if they were out of control drug trash.

I was in that industry for almost 13 years. And yes, I knew the high dollar hookers.
At least the ones who were dancers on the side.

I have no pity for Spitzer.
He's as dumb as they come. So the girls used to say.

No it's not. It's the character of the person who is addicted to drugs or alcohol that leads to both.
