I would be very happy with either Cox or Sanford, if for no other reason than the fact that they would be the front-runner for nomination in 2012. Both are solid, consistent fiscal and social conservatives with lengthy records to prove it, something that was in short supply this election cycle.
Cox would be an excellent choice. He’s a really bright, articulate guy, and would likely blow away the Democrat at any VP debate(s).
I posted this suggestion on another thread. How about Elaine Chao? A woman, a minority and married to Phil Gramm. She’s been a Bush Cabinet member for going on eight years. What do you think?
Uh, Elaine Chao is married to Mitch McConnell.
He’s going to pick Linda Chavez... you heard it here first.
Deroy Murdock pumps for Rudy? I'm shocked! lol
“Going for Seconds Right choices for McCain.”
Can anyone translate idiot to english for me?
Pick him and I go from simply not voting for the Repubes this go ‘round to actively campaigning against that ticket.
Can anyone translate idiot to english for me?
No kidding.
Linda Chavez (McCain LOVES anything or anybody Mexican) or Lindsey Grahamcracker. He LOVES him too. And the feeling is mutual. As for me, I’m going to write in Duncan Hunter. Voting for the better of three evils is still voting for evil.
Nobody from the Bush administration should ever be chosen as McCain’s VP because this will only strengthen the “political left’s” position of saying that a President McCain is truly a continuation of President Bush’s policies on most of the issues (President McCain=President George W. Bush)!
Whatever her merits otherwise, she's a naturalized citizen and therefore ineligible.
Mitt Romney.
He has the most support among the conservative base and the fundraisers, both of which McCain desperately needs.
