12 March 2008 Pristina _ Kosovo will prove to the countries of the Islamic Conference that its independence does not set any precedent for other regions in the world, a Kosovar delegation said before leaving for the summit on Wednesday.
Enver Hoxhaj, the Minister of Education and Bekim Collaku, a senior advisor to Kosovo’s Prime Minister headed on Wednesday to Dakar, the capital of Senegal, where they have been invited by Secretary General of the Islamic Conference organisation, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu.
Before leaving for Dakar, Hoxhaj told media that “This summit provides a good opportunity for Kosovo to present itself on the international scene.”
"The main goal of our participation in the summit is to show that Kosovo’s problem that has been not solved for a century and is merely a European problem and in no way can be compared with other regions in Africa or Asia," he added.
Earlier last month, the General Secretariat of the Islamic Conference welcomed Kosovo's declaration of independence from Serbia, and most of its member states are expected to take individual decisions on recognition soon.
Some Muslim countries, such as Azerbaijan and Indonesia have already said they will not recognise the independence of Kosovo, claiming that it will serve as a precedent for separatist regions in their countries.
Senegal is the first African country to have recognised the Republic of Kosovo and sought to establish diplomatic relations with the new independent state.
Meanwhile, Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister stated this week that “by the end of the year, Kosovo will have more than twenty embassies abroad.”

DAKAR — Disagreement over Kosovo was reported ahead of an Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) session.
Strong disagreements broke out after Turkey attempted to secure that the closing document of the 11th OIC summit should include an article expressing the recognition of the independence of Kosovo, Russian media reported from the Senegalese capital of Dakar on Tuesday.
Quoting reports in Turkish papers and statements by diplomats of Azerbaijan, from which the Armenian enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh has seceded, the media said that Turkey wanted to contribute an article on the recognition of the independence of Kosovo, but that other countries, primarily Azerbaijan, Egypt, Sudan, and Indonesia, were against such an initiative.
In the end, it was decided that the document should include only an article expressing solidarity with the people of Kosovo, and Turkey announced that it will continue defending its position at meetings of ministers and presidents of OIC countries.
The Muslim countries that have so far recognized the secession of Kosovo are Albania, Turkey, Malaysia, Afghanistan, and Senegal, and such a move is being planned by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, the Russian media said.

What is this concept of “muslim nations”?
We have inalienable rights whether our own government is the one attempting to restrict them or foreign governments.
Our own state department should refuse to acknowledge the governments of any theocratic system of rule.
The people in muslim lands have no choice in the matter in being “muslims”. It is a crime to convert away from the cult.

It’s actually not that hard to believe. You see, many, if not the majority, of muslim countries are experiencing secessionists of their own, from non-muslim or secular muslim minorities. They include Northern Nigeria, which essentially dominates nigeria politically, Algeria, Malaysia, Iraq, Iran, the Sudan and Morocco. Then, there are countries like Paksitan or Indonesia, where basically every single province where the people who are not members of the Pak Punjab or Javanese elite can’t stand the country and wants to break free. An inpedendent Kosovo is going to make all these separatists wonder what the hell’s up with Kosovo getting statehood while thye get ignored. And these countries would be economically and politically f**ked without these regions they keep subjugated. Hence, their material and practical needs in this case will ultimately trump supposed solidarity with muslim brothers. Such is the case with a large portion of the islamic world which refuses to practice what it preaches.
Believe it. It turns out most of the muslims in the world are on the side of Serbia and Russia. Serbia and Russia are the allies of Islamofascist Iran. Serbia is just the “little dhimmi,” while their big brothers Russia are the “great dhimmi.” Russia is actually a member of the OIC!
Think about that the next time you hear about US troops carrying the Kosovo Jihadists water.
