Somewhere back along, I posted....

My completely unsolicited $0.02?

Spitzer resigns. Hillary! gets her butt handed to her by Obama in the rest of the primaries.

Thus, Hillary! is available to run in the inevitable re-election for NY Governor. Gives her a graceful way of bowing out of the '08 election, while maintaining (maybe expanding?) her power base. And, leaving her open for a later run in 2012.

There was various speculation on it from all concerned....And then, I read this article this morning....."Hillary’s Consolation Prize? Some Dems float the New York Statehouse as an option." http://www.newsweek.com/id/129399/output/print

I would rather have been right on my college hoops picks, than on this one.

I’m not sure, however, why the Hildebeast would want to be a Governor over a Senator. Most governors actually consider Senator a step up, don’t they?

sometimes. Remember in the Senate you are one of 100 but as Governor you are top dog in the state. depends on the individuals personality, ambitions and wants. if she does not get presidency i can see her run for an executive position in the state

If I were a power-hungry narcissist, I'd prefer a position in the executive branch of gov't, rather than the legislative branch.

Particularly in a state as corrupt as NY. A Four Year Term there would set up her family, children, grandchildren, and so on for the rest of their natural lives.

I agree with you and even heard that mentioned by a FNC analyst as soon as it was learned Spitzer would resign. The FNC analyst said that Paterson is more of a legal whiz, not the executive type and that Paterson never would have sought the governorship. The analyst hypothesized that if Hillary were elected President, that Paterson might appoint himself Senator to replace her as that position would be more to his liking.

I’ve no doubt the people of NY would probably elect Hillary governor and Paterson to the Senate if an election were held today.

Your two cents were spot-on. And as I always say—all roads lead to Clinton Inc.
