Chapel Hill, N.C. Durham police have detained a person of interest in the Eve Carson case and turned him over to Chapel Hill authorities, sources tell N.C. Wanted.
Authorities are questioning him. Members of the media have swarmed the Chapel Hill Police Department, but it was unclear if or when authorities would hold a news conference.

WEDNESDAY 8:30 A.M. -- Chapel Hill police have detained a man who might be the person of interest in the investigation of Student Body President Eve Carson's shooting death, ABC 11 is reporting.
Durham police arrested the man at a home on Rosedale Avenue in Durham. Police then handed the suspect off to the Chapel Hill Police Department.
Police have not confirmed a connection between the man and the Carson murder investigation.
But pictures obtained by ABC 11 show a man who fits the description of the person of interest.
Carson was shot to death about 5 a.m. Wednesday. She was identified Thursday and was buried Sunday in her hometown of Athens, Ga.
