I had a friend who’s hubby said “If you gain up to X weight, I’ll divorce you.”

So she got in the car and got 10 big Macs, came home and proceeded to chow down in front of him....he got the message.

She’s still heavy, but married to a man who thinks she hung the moon.

Life is too short for selfish jerks.

Selfish is refusing to lose weight to make your husband happy.

Glad to hear your friend found a man who likes heavier women, there are plenty of them out there. The problem is when a man marries a thin wife (and finds thin attractive), works hard to stay fit himself and the wife doesn't care enough to do the same.

So perhaps the REAL problem isn't exactly the weight problem but rather that the selfish wife doesn't care about her husband's happiness.
