She cheated with her current husband, and got him away from his wife and three children. I think you may have hit upon Dr. Laura’s bizarre attitude to male adultery. If she and Lew were cheating, it must have been Lew’s wife’s fault, or partly her fault. As the Church Lady would say, how conveeeeeenient for Lew and Laura. It lets them right off the hook (in Laura’s twisted mind, anyway).

I had no idea that that is how she got her current husband. Was he the same man who was her academic advisor, with whom she had an affair (complete with pictures that someone put on the internet years ago)?
