Dr. Laura Schlessinger has never been one to shrink from controversy, and she leaped headlong into one on Monday when she said that if a husband cheats, his wife may share some of the blame.
“When the wife does not focus in on the needs and the feelings, sexually, personally, to make him feel like a man, to make him feel like a success, to make him feel like her hero, he’s very susceptible to the charm of some other woman making him feel what he needs,” the popular psychologist and radio personality said.
More commonly known as just “Dr. Laura,” Schlessinger made the remarks while participating in one of several panel discussions on TODAY dealing with the breaking news that New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer had been connected to a high-priced prostitution ring.

Yeah marriage is tough. And it takes lots of constant work to keep up with all the life’s changes..age, kids, chemistry, experiences and the like.
Good for those that can do it, but it’s time to stop automatically blaming men.
You obviously do not listen to her...she blames men ALOT...but she knows that women rarely take the blame for problems, so she goes overboard to make them look at their part. There is NOTHING wrong with that. Dr. Laura has helped more marriages and relationships than probably any other therapist. She takes a certain point of view...she’s usually right. I am happy we have her on our side.

You just proved her point...women do not realize how much power they have...MEN NEED SEX..period....They are happier and they will love you more if you willingly give it to them. It does not make them bad, for it is THEIR JOB..it is what they are built for. They are not built to be sensitive to women’s needs, they are not built to be the family nurterer (although we all know they can)...THEY ARE BUILT TO KEEP THE SPECIES GOING...as women, we tend to forget that little tidbit..and Dr. Laura reminds whiny women everyday that it is their job to keep their husbands happy while they are out doing their job..TAKING CARE OF THE FAMILY.

This may interest you (and I don’t know if you’re a man or a woman). My husband (when he was just my boyfriend, and other boyfriends I had prior to him never understood this either) couldn’t understand when I said women dress for other women not for men (fashion, fads, hair, etc.). Then he heard the song Wild Night (I think that’s the title, a remake by John Mellonball...um, Mellencamp and some female singer - I’ll look it up when I’m done posting this)and there was a line about how the girls on the corner dress for each other (paraphrasing). Basically saying if they took into consideration what guys liked, fashion would be way different. Guys are easy to please. Especially if they love you and all they really want is the same in return.
I had no idea that that is how she got her current husband. Was he the same man who was her academic advisor, with whom she had an affair (complete with pictures that someone put on the internet years ago)?
I’ve listened to her enough times to know that she jumps down the throat of 99% of the women who call in, even the ones who agree with her, but she is mostly giggly, simpering, and more easygoing with the men. Face it, she hates women.
Women need sex too Hildy....
And some of us are out there working too, keeping our families, homes, livestock etc alive too.
I’m tired of sex being made out to be a man’s need and a woman’s job!

And I am sure that the sexual experience is just top notch for the guy in a situation like that.
