The cop lost control of a routine event, mismanaged once he had lost control, and then used excessive force to finally retain control. And then he was unprofessional with his comments about giving the guy a ride and so forth.

He doesnt need to be a cop. Period.

The cop lost control of a routine event, -- agreed
mismanaged once he had lost control, -- agreed
and then used excessive force to finally retain control. -- debatable (I do not know local guidelines)
And then he was unprofessional with his comments about giving the guy a ride and so forth.--no comment
He doesn't need to be a cop.-- depends I would have to know how long he has been on the force, what the local guidelines are and perhaps his past history. If he is young (he appears to be) and has a good performance history, I would not fire him over this.

Thanks for your comments.

My whole issue in this is not so much the cop's mistakes, yes he made some, but it pertains more to Massey. As I have said several times, arguing with a cop never helps. He should have saved it for the judge.
