Spitzer testifed before a House subcommittee on February 14 on the bond insurance “crisis”. Who pays expenses for such testimony???

If he submitted the expense report and got reimbursed for it then the taxpayers paid for it.
The taxpayers of course-—once a pols wins office, the tax-paid gravy train takes off full speed ahead.

“Good morning fellow sleazebags. What a delight it is to be here today, on Valentine’s Day, in our nation’s lovely capital. I thought about bringing my fair wife with me on this trip so that we could celebrate Valentine’s Day together, but then I said what the hey, I could bring down my favorite hooker from New York instead!! She wouldn’t accede to my demands for unprotected sex, but I still had a good night of it.
