I hope they don't use the "photo expert" as a witness, the "H" on the cap looks as phoney as Dan Blather's "th". Original:

I can see the same H in the black and white photos.
They colorized the different contrast layers.
It makes the H artificially stand out, but it is the same shape as in the originals.

I don’t know what that weird lump sticking out one side of his hood is.
If it is his ‘fro’, then he shouldn’t be hard to ID.
Of course, that may all be a moot point by this time, as his girlfriend has given the media leads on him.

Doesn't matter ~ the colorized photo is not going to be submitted as evidence. However, the B&W will be and it will be sufficient to identify at least one perp.
The color simply helps others to come up with his name and turn him in for a reward.
