Hillary Clintons 3 a.m. ad may have (or may not) have helped her win in Ohio. But its also backfiring in some quarters. Comic Larry David titles a Huffington Post piece on the subject Does Anyone Want This Nut Answering the Phone?
I started rooting for her. It wasnt that hard. Compromise comes easy to me. I was on board.
And then I saw the ad.
I watched, transfixed, as she took the 3 a.m. call and I was afraid very afraid. Suddenly, I realized the last thing this country needs is that woman anywhere near a phone.
I dont care if its 3 a.m. or 10 p.m. or any other time. I dont want her talking to Putin, I dont want her talking to Kim Jong Il, I dont want her talking to my nephew.
She needs a long rest. She needs to put on a sarong and some sun block and get away from things for a while, a nice beach somewhere somewhere far away, where there are no phones.

The amazing thing is not that he dumped Hillary, but that he’s willing to let a smooth-talking know-nothing newbie pick that 3 AM phone up!
McCain will win on the issue of the 3AM phone call if he uses it aginst Hill or Obama.

i think the ad stems from an experience she had when she was away and called the white house and Monica Lewinski answered.
Larry’s got hand, and he’s going to need it.
I think everyone is missing the point of Hillary’s 3AM ad.
Try calling the White House at 3AM. Operators will be the only ones to answer the phone. Hillary is clearly angling for the job of White House phone operator.
Hey, now that she’s “found her voice,” this is a job she may actually be able to do.
I say, give the little lady a chance to prove herself as a night shift phone operator. At least she doesn’t want to be a receptionist - a job where the public would actually have to look at her!
DEEP MALE VOICE: "It's 3 AM. The phone is ringing in the Clinton White House...and ringing...and ringing.

(Camera fades to the faces of US Troops huddled in darkened surroundings...faces blackened, their eyes showing resolve, but also betraying the tension of being forced to wait)

DEEP MALE VOICE: "On the other side of the world, our troops are poised in the darkness...waiting patiently for White House approval to use deadly force on an Islamofascist who is known to have American blood on his hands. That White House authorization never comes. Several years later, thousands of American citizens are brutally murdered in cold blood by this same man who slipped away because a Red Phone kept ringing at 3 AM."

Excellent idea
Thank you...:)
We can dream, I guess. Not that we will see anyone with any chunks run it!
Christopher Hitchens had it right when he said that when Hillary talks to anyone, Russian, North Korean, Icelandic, etc...her first thought is “what’s in it for me?” (paraphrasing, of course).
That just about sums up both Clintons.
LOL...DFU...:)
(He has been responsible for more soda and coffee on my keyboard than nearly anyone else (maybe Dead or Martin Fierro are close...)
Maybe Doug could use a catchy like “Round Midnight” or “In The Wee Small Hours of The Morning”
Actually, I’ve viewed that ad as some telemarketer in India calling at 3 AM to sell siding for the White House.
Costanza was played by Jason Alexander. Larry David was one of the creators of Seinfeld but he did appear on the show (though only from the rear) as George Steinbrenner, when Costanza was working with the Yankees.

That’s funny!!!! Probably correct, also...
correction: Larry David only provided the voice of Steinbrenner. The actor shown from the rear who played Steinbrenner was Lee Baer, from central casting.
The Costanza character was based on Larry David. He got his name from an old college roommate of Jerry Seinfeld, but he was based on Larry David.
I must be out, or I’d pick up the phone. Where could I be?
