It might be only a long 2 years. After Clinton’s election in 1992, he had a democratic controlled Congress. The public got fed up and there was a Republican tidal wave in 1994. If her heinous or Barry Hussein get elected and crash the economy and wreak all kinds of havoc, history may repeat itself.
I recently saw an essay online which stated that the good economy during the Clinton years was made possible by the Republicans winning control of the Congress in 1994. The financial markets were re-assured by this GOP tidal wave, because they (the financial markets) knew that the Republicans would block the worst forms of socialism proposed by the Clintons. (Personally, I believe that the advent of the personal computer and the Internet did alot to fuel the 1990’s economic boom as well).
If the democrats re-take the White House this year, America should survive if there is a GOP groundwell in 2010. If for, whatever reason, there is no congressional GOP groundswell in 2010, then we’re screwed. (We are also screwed if it’s a RINO groundswell.....we need to elect CONSERVATIVE Republicans!)
