Blair to teach 'faith and globalisation' at Yale University JAMES TAPSFIELD TONY Blair is to further his interest in religion by teaching classes on "faith and globalisation" at the prestigious Yale University in an initiative linked to the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, due to be launched later this year.
Academics at Yale School of Management and Divinity are working with Mr Blair to finalise details of the course. A source close to the former prime minister said he was "delighted" to be taking on the new challenge.
The Connecticut university's president, Richard Levin, said staff were "honoured" Mr Blair would be joining them. His pay is expected to be nominal, and it has yet to be decided how much time the job will involve. "His role in the Middle East will be unaffected," the source added.
Since leaving Number 10 last summer, Mr Blair has taken on a range of posts, including becoming Middle East envoy for the so-called Quartet of powers the US, the UN, the EU and Russia.
Mr Blair converted from Anglicanism to Catholicism last year. He said faith played a major part in some of his most controversial decisions, including sending troops to invade Iraq.
He has earned millions of pounds with consultancies at investment bank JP Morgan and financial services giant Zurich. A deal with Random House for his memoirs is thought to be worth about £5 million.
There has been speculation that Mr Blair wants the soon-to-be-created role of EU president.

Like reducing the age of consent so that men could legally sodomize 16 year old kids.
By “faith and globalisation,” does he mean that if you’re against globalization, you’re against God?
My guess is that it will be more of an article about how we have to be tolerant of all faiths as we globalize.
There doesn’t seem to be a Yale School of Management and Divinity.
Here’s an item from Merry Old England
CLASS not article.
“You do have to pick a number”
No, you really don’t.
“Free for all or just let dad deal with the guys?”
Outlaw it.
Just because its legal doesn’t mean that a smart man will come within twenty feet of it. Young girls are extremely dangerous. They spit venom out of their eyes and they eat the souls of similarly aged boys.
I have to laugh, a serious article about a world leader teaching on faith at a major university...think of all the avenues of thought we could explore here...and the conversation devolves to sex!
I noticed it.
I think it’s ‘frightful’ in the natural.
Horrid for Christianity
Horrid for the RC edifice
Horrid for the world.
Tony always has been a Chameleon. He was anglican now he is Catholic and yet I remember he and his wife travelling to Central America for some weird New Agey retreat or something. He’s pro Clinton and pro Bush. He’s got his nose smack dab in the Israel situation, is teaching globalism AND “faith”, and wants to be President of Europe. I think I hear a tick tock going on and it ain’t just Daylight savings time.
imho,
You got all that PRECISELY CORRECT.
And the thread that was pulled—evidently because the RC edifice couldn’t handle a reasonable discussion of the evidence—is just a hint—just a HINT
at the dramatic dynamics and turmoil just around the corner as the UFO/GLOBALISM spheres become OVERTLY displayed on the world stage . . . and all the famous globalist stooges like Blair line up like Pied Pipers singing the globalists’ anthems.
