Along with his signature bright white hair, the most striking aspects of Senator John McCain’s physical appearance are his puffy left cheek and the scar that runs down the back of his neck.

But...but...McCain’s a moderate! He’s a maverick! Why is the Times going after him again?

It's far more relevant to mention his bout with supporters of secure borders.

Gee, maybe you shouldn't have endorsed him during the primaries, then?

NYT has really jumped the shark this time.

Maybe he just needs to screw over conservatives in a big way to make nice with the NYT.

Heck, it's always worked for him before.

Hillary can toss ash trays while she’s angry across the room that leave damage much like a grenade but McCain’s temper is really really bad. Why McCain even looked cross eyed at a reporter....

Maybe it's just as well that people who don't know about his bout with melanoma, know it now. He's never side stepped it. Get it out of the table now, early, while the news is focusing on the infighting on the other side.

It will then become a side issue, as it should.

Anyone could also get hit by a bus tomorrow, or get hurt in Ft. Marcy Park.

Anyone could suddenly become ill - like Patrick Swayze , only 55, who was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given only a few months.

In other words - ANYone can get sick or have an accident any day of the week.

So the fact that McCain is, after 7 years, a cancer "surviver" should have no bearing on his running.

Also, there's the matter of who he picks for a running mate -

It looks as if Pinch is going to give us a new hit piece every day. It’s really dumb, wheeling all this stuff out now when no one is paying much attention to McCain anyway.

Not to worry, we can account on the MSM to make this common knowledge by November. In fact, we'll soon know more about McCain than is decent.

Why did the NY Times endorse Mr. McCain if they are so concerned about the senator’s health?

His bout of the melanoma wasn’t exactly a state secret.

Mac is the MSM's strawman candidate. They knew he'd be the weakest candidate against any dem, so they helped insure his winning the GOP nomination.

Time for Mac to change his middle name from Sidney to Patsy.

His surgery is a credit to the prompt & skilled US Medical Care he received. If he had lived in Canada or Britain, all bets are off.

I hope that when he's asked about his cancer, he stands up for the good care he received--- and rejects socialized "Universal Health Care".

But maybe I'm a wishful thinker...

My wife is a 30 year Melanoma survivor. Hers was stage 3 and the Cancer Institute followed her for years pulling the specimen out of the deep freeze and putting a sample under the microscope every six months looking for something new.

I think McPain has had his recur twice?

they can metastasize or recur after 7 years. new ones can also develop. I sure hope he chooses a really good running mate.
I read that he revealed his medical records in 2000, before the last two melanomas, I wonder if he released them this year.

The stress of running and being president can’t be good for him. His mother may be alive but his dad died before 71.
