I don't think he's lying. Why would any sane person want to be Hillary's vice-president? Hillary is an arrogant witch for stating the idea that way.

Maybe SHE would be the one needing a VP spot.

I’m not so sure about that. Although, for strategy he has to say he won’t take it.

Also, I wouldn’t put it past Billary to choose someone else if this ploy helps her get the nomination. What Billary says in a campaign has no bearing on what they really will do.

Agreed. He’d take it because the party would press him for it, as a shot at 16 years in power.

However, he is beating her, and polls still show him the stronger candidate. Sen. Clinton will be begging him for the slot.

“He’s lying. He’d take it in a heartbeat.”

I don’t think so. It would be a big mistake for him.

Not so sure. I don't think this guy wants to tie his political future to the Clintoons.

Have you read the entire recent New Yorker piece, where Michelle O is quoted as saying, in reference to Bill, that she, “wants to scratch his eyes out”.

I don’t think so. I think Hillary would have a hard time finding anyone who would turn their back on Billary in a dark hallway.

He’s lying. He’d take it in a heartbeat.

If Obama accepted the Beast's offer to be VP, his supporters would look at it as the biggest sell-out in the history of politics.

He's young. He has lots of races ahead if he doen't win this one. He doesn't need to play second-fiddle to Hillary.

Wht? I can think of no job less relevant than VP in a dual Clinton Whitehouse. He'd probably be put in charge of maintaining Bill's humidor.

He is not lying.

The headline should have read:

The woman who wears the pants in his family will not allow
her husband, Barack Obama, to play second fiddle to the woman who wears the pants in the Clinton family.

Get prepared. We are going to be the gleeful witnesses to the best cat fight in history before all is said and done.

“He’s lying.”

About being the veep, his real religion, performing oral sex on a guy when he was doing drugs, or all of the above?

This is standard Clinton tactics. Bill Clinton said earlier today that a Clinton-Obama ticket would be hard to beat. They are trying to appeal to the super delegates and the voters that you can nominate Hillary and get Obama as a twofer. The only problem is that Hillary is trailing in delegates and the popular vote.

Nice of Hillary to offer Obama the VP spot when she isn’t even going to be the nominee.

I cannot see any advantage for either candidate running second on the ticket.

If Clinton wins the nomination, what would Obama gain by running as her VP. If they win, he is stuck behind Hillary and Bill for 8 long years...and their scandals will rub off on him. If they lose to McCain, the glow is off the rose and he is 2012's John Edwards. It makes more sense for him to stay in the Senate or to run for governor...anything rather than to be tarnished by the Clintons.

OTOH, if Obama wins the nomination, why would Hillary want to be his VP...and why would Obama ask her? Does Obama want Hillary and Bill looking over his shoulder? And would Hillary and Bill really want to play second fiddle to Obama for the next 8 years? I don't think so.

I do not see a Hillary/Obama or a Obama/Hillary ticket coming out of this....
