Bill Clinton: Hillary-Obama Ticket Would Be "Almost Unstoppable Force" By Greg Sargent - March 8, 2008, 3:00PM
Now Bill Clinton is saying it. Here he is, floating the idea of a joint Hillary-Obama ticket at a town-hall meeting today in Mississippi:
"She said yesterday and she said the day after her big wins in Texas and Ohio and Rhode Island that she was very open to that and I think she answered explicitly yes yesterday," Clinton began, referring to Hillary's own answers on the topic in recent days.
"I know that she has always been open to it, because she believes that if you can unite the energy and the new people that hes brought in and the people in these vast swaths of small town and rural America that shes carried overwhelmingly, if you had those two things together she thinks itd be hard to beat. I mean you look at the, you look at the, you look at the map of Texas and the map in Ohio. And the map in Missouri or -- well Arkansass not a good case because they know her and she won every place there.
"But you look at most of these places, he would win the urban areas and the upscale voters, and she wins the traditional rural areas that we lost when President Reagan was president. If you put those two things together, youd have an almost unstoppable force."

Bill Clinton was heard whispering “I would sure like to see that Barack guy in a blue dress!”
Obama is on record last night as saying that he will not run as the VP. See my recent post.
Unstoppable? So is a category five hurricane, but far less destructive.
The Clintons are really trying to push this idea to save their political lives, but Obama is having none of it. He would be really stupid to have her on his ticket as VP, since he would probably have some unfortunate accident. But then again...
I think they know Barrack won’t accept this. It’s just so they can seem like they were open to “sharing’ and he wasn’t.
This is just BS to make the dims think that the Klintons are gracious and hold no grudges and they are willing to let bygones be bygones in the spirit of cooperation that the dims are always so in favor of. However, this is nothing but a red herring. There is no way in this world that Obambi will forgive and forget and there is also no way that Hillary would ever put him on the ticket.
Exactly. Now they’ll go in for the kill.
Obama needs to stay faaaaaarrrr away from the Clinton’s. The Clinton’s cannot and will not benefit Obama in any way, shape or form.
Hillary and Bill suggesting this combined ticket at this point looks pathetic on their parts.
This is so desperate! I don’t think the VP slot will be hers to offer. She obviously does not either, that is why she is acting like she is so gracious to offer it. Good grief...
It may be that they see the handwriting on the wall and are trying this ploy just to get her on the ticket as number 2.

Unstoppable in the sense of the China syndrome. Right through the crust of the planet and all the way to the center.
Puke.
This is why we needed to “take her out, leave no doubt.”
I agree with him, but too bad Obama is interedted...

Better yet, maybe Obama could hire Hillary as “White House Greeter”. She could even cook up a batch of chocolate chip cookies every morning.
