Was this article written in an attempt to win the “Most Unlikely Scnario” contest?

With surly Juan McCain as our candidate every scenario is a “nightmare” scenario.

Gore?!?
No delegate in the world is going to vote for that dog with fleas.

Far more likely would be a hillary/obama ticket in any order.

So why not just have Gore be Obama’s running mate.

Look, no matter what McCain wins. And he will be perfectly fine.

Gore would not win Virginia. Gore is not nearly as liked by the general populace as he was in 2000 when he was the sitting Vice President.

And with major defections by previously gung-ho global warming scientists, his signature issue is looking crazier every day.

Interesting. Sadly, I can see Gore taking a big role in an Obama Administration.

We can thank the gods that, I believe, the law prohibits him from taking VP again.

Interesting scenario. Do you think that Gore would win those Archie Bunker types that Obama can’t win? I think Gore’s popularity right now is limited to uber-Dems and that’s about it.

But I could be wrong.

Just from a historical perspective...has there even been a candidate nominated to run for President who wasn’t running during the primaries?

This author has an overactive imagination, IMHO.

The GOP is already a nightmare with McCain as the nominee.
It really doesn't matter who he runs against. McCain is his own worst enemy.

There is as much chance the Clinton’s are going to voluntarily let Gore run for president in place of Hillary, as I am going to fly to the moon tonight.

Puerto Ricans aren’t like Southwestern Hispanics. They will be way more open-minded about Obama and he’ll do fine there. He may not win, but he’ll get a lot of delegates. PA could be more of a blowout.

Mr. Gore wasn’t unbeatable in 2000, I don’t see where he suddenly is 8 years after.

Certainly, he could win if he were nominated, but he hasn’t shown any inclination to run this year. Last time he lost, he went straight to pot afterwards gaining a lot of weight and not shaving for a quite a few number of months. I just can’t see Gore running and risking a defeat, particularly as he recovered and has a sweet gig as the global warming guru and the fact that it looked like losing almost killed him when he was a younger man.

“Archie Bunker” democrats

I doubt Archie Bunker will vote for Mr. Global Warming after this winter. Gore has been hiding since the snow started months ago. Meanwhile, Archie's back is sore from hours and hours of shoveling snow, dealing with broken snowblowers, and car damage from potholes.

However, Gore may come out of his cave in July, during a heat wave, to start his campaign...

John McCain may just be the first presidential candidate in the history of America, whose candidacy very well may hinge on his wisdom and inspiration, choosing a running mate.

This poster, would suggest (in order):

1) Duncan Hunter
2) Condoleezza Rice
3) Mitt Romney

Any of those three, would create a powerful, winning ticket.

This is nonsense. In 2000 McCain was hoping to tear Gore to shreds with all the lies that Gore had told. Now McCain would really rip him to shreds. We can only hope the Gore is somehow “appointed” the nominee!!

Pat, Pat, Pat...if Obama isn't going to be back-of-the-bus to Hillary, what makes you think he's going to be back-of-the-bus to some fat bastard who didn't even run?

Al Gore has one campaign plank, that of global warming, err, I mean global climate change. And as any Freeper will tell you, so does John McCain.

Obama worshipers will view it as betrayal and walk, the hard core liberals will once again (just like in 2000) beat Gore upside the head for his Oxy connections, and it would be a disaster for the party.

An open ballot at the convention will not happen.

At which point the McCain camp dusts off the speech Gore made in Saudi Arabia in 2004. in front of a Arab audience of Oil Sheiks, claiming Muslims were tortured in the US after 09-11 and starts making campaigns ads showing Gore's speech.

Suddenly all those Archie Bunker voters in all those blue states turn into rabid McCain Democrats.

Gore in 2000 wore the “New Democrat” mask. Since then that moderate mask has been stripped away to reveal, for the 1st time, Gores truth face. Gore shares the samet seething ugly rabid Anti Americanism that is the common character trait all the current leadership of the Democrat Party carefully try to hide from the Archie Bunker voters

It seems to me the Dems are full of wishful thinking. Obama should get the nomination barring it being stolen from him. He then picks a young white guy for his VP and loses handily to McCain.

The Dems are just starting to get buyers remorse. They thought they were cool with the only black and only woman candidate. The problem is that the black guy is actually winning. They thought Hillary would be their gal and Obama could give a nice speech at the convention. Now they want to give him, the winner, the VP slot.

Once again the Dems show their true colors, or lack of them. The fact is Obama is winning and will probably win it all. He will also lose to McCain.
