It’ll never fly. I just don’t see Obama being willing to sit in the car while Al goes inside to eat.

Also...

Gore can’t run without having to debate his global warming thesis which is total crap and his income.

Step off the gravy train into a guaranteed train wreck. Unlikely.

Condi Rice would sink that ticket like a grand piano on an inflatable kayak.

In such a case, McCain won’t need to worry about motivating conservatives....

...go to Obama and ask him to take the No. 2 slot with Al Gore as the nominee. Obama then releases his delegates to vote for Gore after the Superdelegates place his name in nomination. Gore then wins the nomination on the first ballot, and the Billary vampire is slain. The African-American voter is satisfied because Obama is satisfied to be No. 2 behind Gore while he waits his turn.

I laughed hysterically after reading this.

Why Obama would give up to a global loser like Gore?

African-American voters satisfied after "bamboozled" Obama takes #2 spot?

Ha Ha Ha Ha.....

This is the #1 crap I read this year.

True but Primaries were only held in 13 states up to the chaos in 1968. Other then that it was all cacuses and state conventions. The whole reason the Primary process became so widely used around the nation was to “reform” the system. The people who pushed hardest for it were the Democrats. To now, after 40 years, suddenly depart from established procedure and over set aside the winner of the Primaires for a canidate chossen by the party bosses is not going to sit well.

The irony of this is striking. That the very people running the Democrat party now, who mostly the same people so engraged in 1968 by what the Party bosses did, are now facing the procespect of being the party bosses this time that do the same things that pissed them off in 1968.

McCain will be a great candidate who is nasty enough to beat the hell out of Gore... Gore’s nutty global warming ideas will be under the microscope for the first time and the outcome will be him looking inept, naive and lost.

John McCain is every bit the eco-nut that Al Gore is. They're in lock-step on the issue.

Had Al Gore run in the primaries, I think he would have been the toughest general election candidate the Democrats could have run but I see three problems in this scenario.

First, the Clintons will work as hard as they could behind the scenes to defeat this ticket. Hillary’s only chance to win the Presidency would be to run again in 2012 and this is going to be hard to do if a Democrat is already in the White House. I’m sure the Clintons have some real dirt on Al Gore.

Second, the same people who won’t vote for Obama because of his race probably wouldn’t vote for this ticket with Obama in the VP slot for the same reason.

Third, even if Obama accepts the scenario, his followers are likely to see this as “back of the bus, business as usual” treatment that blacks have been receiving for decades in the Democrat Party.

Related to the second and third point, I have always thought that the first minority and the first woman to be elected President will be Republicans. Minorities and women in the Democrat Party are perceived as being too radical for the typical voter to cast their ballot for.

don't forget all their FBI files!
By all means, forget those FBI files in the context of the Democratic nomination struggle - there weren't any Democrats in them who were less than 23 years old in 1978 - which maps to more than 53 years old by now. So it's doubtful if any appreciable number of the players in Democratic politics today were snared in that net.

Gore receives $200,000 per speech. Exactly why would he be remotely interested in giving up such a cushy scam for being president?

Gore Can't beat anybody, by that time, Gore is going to be shown to be the scam artist that he is, and he is not going to take that chance. He's built his house on a hill of sand, and is not taking a chance that the political winds will blow it to smithereens.
