MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ― A Minneapolis man arrested in the same airport bathroom sex sting that netted U.S. Senator Larry Craig has been acquitted.
Thirty-nine-year-old Vince Tuzon used a similar argument to Craig in pleading not guilty. Tuzon claimed he wasn't guilty because the police officer initiated the foot-tapping.
A Hennepin County jury agreed with Tuzon.
His lawyer says Tuzon feels he was set up after being "essentially bombarded with overtures" while in the bathroom.
A Metropolitan Airports Commission spokesman says they were "disappointed" with the verdict.
Craig was arrested June 11 in the same operation. The Idaho senator first pleaded guilty, but is trying withdraw that plea.
Well, tap my toes!
What the h*ll, do some particular cops volunteer for this duty or what?
What would lead you to suspect that?

If what I just wrote made you sad or angry,
it was probably just a joke.
So this man KNEW the sign language and proclaims that the officer was flirting with HIM.
Doesn’t sound like a good defense.
Meanwhile the case against the politician wasn’t very strong.
The gestures described were obscure at best (but every journalist and talking head suddenly was a “expert” on gay courting ettiquite). In the absence of physical contact, verbal or written language or at the very least an obscene gesture, how is this to be considered a “request” for sex in the washroom?
Disturbing the peace was the best they could get him on and that was what he pled no contest to. The media claimed he pled no contest to sexual solicitation for public sex which is something different altogether.
Then again the media lied and suggested that Mark Foley was dating underage aides and having sex with them in the paige program and that the GOP knew about IM exchanges with a young Democrat staffer and “did nothing” meanwhile the media and the DNC sat on more communications than the GOP had and “did nothing” until they unveiled their October surprise.
Outing them as homosexuals was enough to turn off the base. But the Stalinist Party has to slur their actions by alluding to public sex and child molestation even when it isn’t happening.
Ever since this whole Craig sex sting thingie broke I’ve wondered what would happen to you if some cop tapped your foot pretending to troll for sex while you were in the next stall and you responded by stomping on his foot 6 or 7 times, breaking all his toes.
There are gay cops who take their partners as “ride along” passengers.
You’d probably be charged with assaulting a police officer.
(A) you’d be charged with assaulting a police officer and (B) you’d be charged with gay bashing, a hate crime.
You see, it is considered “wrong” to respond to a sexual invasion of privacy with violence. At least when the pervert a step away from being a rapist is a member of the same sex and the priviledged class.
No gaps underneath for flirting.
where does it say the guy knew what it meant?
Because the policeman was so persistent?
The Cop was Chris Hansen?
The more interesting question is, do they only arrest people who DON’T accept the overture?
That’s about the lowest cop assignment imaginable — “Hey Larry, your new job is to sit in a stall in the airport men’s room and tap your feet under the divider and try to coax homos into a sexual encounter. Any objections?”
Just claim RLS,,
Maybe this is what you get when you've ticked off the lieutenant.
For cryin' out loud! What if someone is sitting on the john and just taps their foot as a nervous reflex without even realizing they're doing anything? The flush the toilet, pull up their pants, leave the stall and get arrested?
C'mon! This is just plain stupid! It is illegal to have sex in a public stall but the last I heard tapping one's foot is still legal. And I've been using public restrooms for 39 years and not once have I ever walked in on gay sex. Not once have I ever had someone try and solicit me for sex. Suddenly we have an epidemic of homo orgies going on in public toilets? Give me a break.
Ok..you are kidding right?
Yours is the MOST sane, articulate and succinct post on this subject yet!! this is such a waste of police tax money, I can’t believe it!
