I use to fly KLM to Europe a few times a year via Amsterdam as I had some good friends that lived there and I'd lay over a couple of days to visit. At that time and I'm talking 20 yrs. ago drug pushers approached you on the street in broad daylight offering a wide variety of dope. Needles were left laying on the sidewalks and in the grass and most residents seemed oblivious. Prostitutes displayed there charms in store front windows as most people just walked nonchalantly by. I could never understand how so many people could except this kind of deviant behavior. My friend and her family could no longer take it and finally immigrated to Australia.
