I don't question anyone who plans to vote for him--it's their vote. But I do have to disagree with you about trusting the party--at least the so-called "leaders" of the party who ignore the platform and push liberalism. I'll be fighting that type until the day I die. In California, our last chairman publicly declared that he wanted to become a "Purple Party." Would you trust that? Is that what McCain supporters want--to have a single party system in the U.S.?
However, you didn't answer the question. What is your basis for saying that McCain is a conservative and "consistently ranks in the top 12%"? Did you not realize how bad his rankings and his record really are?
I suspect a good deal of McCain supporters simply do not, as I suspect that a number of his voters may not have known.
Probably the last couple years he’s slipped, but over all during his tenure he’s voted pretty conservative. At least that’s what the media has been touting...
I know what you’re saying. Let’s stand firm. Give them this election...and then come back hard in 2012 when the liberals have screwed things up...
I still think we can influence McCain to succeed. Terrorism is the most important thing right now... The economy too... You look at the first 100 days for Obama and Hillary and you’re looking at the beginning of the fall of the roman empire...
