Conservatives and party regulars were not happy about the selection of Carly Fiorina to head the Republican National Committee’s “Victory 2008” campaign raising funds for the presidential election. She was one of the nation’s most visible CEOs before she was fired by Hewlett-Packard in 2005 for not generating enough profits.
Federal Election Commission records show Fiorina contributed nothing to the Republican Party the last eight years. Her only political giving was to Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign—$2,100 in 2006 and $2,300 in 2007. Fiorina was at McCain’s side when he campaigned in the critical Michigan and Florida races.
Fiorina has no standing in the conservative movement and has taken no position on the abortion question.

She is also a globalist who, as an HP employee, traveled to world conferences promoting a medieval economic model where employees would be the new serfs and the corporate elite the new aristocrats.
That’s not even a good thing. McCain will be able to implement liberal policies unfettered, as he will have no opposition whatsoever. He wants to close Guantanamo, stop waterboarding, institute amnesty, restrict freedom of speech, encourage embryo stem cell research, not to mention that he has indicated a preference to select Supreme Court judges that do not “wear their conservatism on their sleeve”. He seems to be more concerned with getting along with democrats than with conservatives.
I know several hard-core democrats that say they would vote for the man - that tells me a lot. What are our other options? Frankly, at this point I’m not sure. I do think that if people wouldn’t submit & give in so easily by saying that he is the “lesser of two evils” and “at least he will be strong on the WOT” and that “at least he is not Hillary or Obama” - if people would stop giving into that kind of thinking & voice their protests of this man loudly, loudly, loudly - then, as long as we haven’t had our convention - then there is still a tiny, teeny piece of hope that we can get rid of him - somehow/some way.
He is bad news for our party. He will lose, and even if he wins - WE LOSE.
I wish people wouldn’t be so quick to telegraph to the party that they will take this sitting down & vote for him, even if they have to “hold their nose”.
This is exactly what the party wants to hear right now. Let’s not play along.

Who needs conservative principles? Who needs the support of the party base? What old fashioned ideas some people have! The GOP leadership is far more enlightened than silly us.

Well, this "so-called conservative" thinks there's not much to be happy about when the biggest motivation to vote for a candidate is, "he's the lesser of two evils" or I like this one - "at least he's not those other two guys".
Real good recipe for a happy party there.
Hewlett-Packard USED to be an elite company where the skills and expertise of top engineers was treasured. Fiorina dumped many of them unceremoniuously, turning the company into a commodity PC/printer company that continues to make most of its profits off of ink and toner.
I was not against the Compaq buyout; I am against what became of both product lines after the fact. Combined with the IBM sellout to the Chicoms, there are no elite computer companies left.
An failed globalist elitist, great way to build bridges to the social conservatives in the party.

Sam Palmisano said they couldn’t make a profit on PC’s. The Chinese bought Lenovo and made a profit the first quarter while they still had American employees on board.
Had Fiorina not rammed through that silly Compaq buyout, she’d likely be remembered as a star of the business world. She was highly regarded at AT&T and Lucent prior to that. But when she was fired at HP, there was literally loud cheering in the cubicles. I know a guy who had a pretty important job with HP at the time, and he said HP employees derisively mocked her as “Aunt Carly”.
I'm not sure either. I find none of the three fit to hold the office and because all are beholden to Soros et.al., I will not vote for any of them.
I heard weeks ago from a local insider and posted on here that Ridge will be the likely VP choice as he is believed to be able to pry PA from the "D" column.

The HP tenure is a black mark on her record, but she’s not a Democrat.
I hear what you’re saying and I have a lot of the same sentiment. However, the situation we’re in with McCain as the nominee does not lend itself to the possibility of being completely satisfied with the next POTUS.
This is politics and it’s the reality we have to deal with at the moment. Given that, “he’s a lot better than the other guy” is a perfectly valid argument. It’s not to please the party bosses, it’s in our own self interest regardless of how far away the result is from what we would ultimately like to achieve.
