Also, my studies into these groups was not so much to determine their religious makeup and demographics but rather determine who they are and what they are up to with respect to Israel.
I have been following them now for a couple of years and have concluded that their commonalities are far more numerous than their differences.
Their common short term goal though is to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.
Israel.
Which world governments, the UN, and media, simply parrot, much to the delight of the Islamic terrorists. Their propaganda efforts are simply effortless, with the entire press on their side excusing them as victims of Israeli occupation.
It could be changing a bit now, with their horrible decision to murder Iraqi citizens en masse. The cultists may have overplayed their hand. Some moderates may be finally seeing the light.
BTW, did you hear that an American was killed in the Seminary attack?
Shi’ah & Sunnah do genuinely hate each other. But when it comes to Israel, their only fight is over who gets to claim the glory for killing Israelis.
Shi’ah improved greatly in prestige after Hezbullah beat Israel in the last Lebanon war. Some local (Syrian & Lebanese) Sunnah even started praying Shi’i-style in their honor. Al-Qaeda was openly jealous of Hezbullah for this & vowed to get into the Israeli problem so as to not let Shi’ah soak up all the glory.
