I think means the price. $22,000 seems high for an Indian import.
To: Red Badger
High for an unknown import from India.

I called Toyota and told them that this is what I want in a small pick-up. They thanked me for my opinion and sent me a tire pressure gauge for my time.

Now......watch the price of diesel go up. You think the oil companies will miss out on this one.

Price seems high. If it has any reliability, its cheap, compared to chevy, doge, ford, or toyota. But then toyots don't have a diesel for their junker.

Blame the sliding dollar for increases on import prices. Everything that comes from overseas will be higher............

Well if the demand for diesel begins to rise in the US, so will the price. Supply and demand.

The dollar isn’t worth a whole lot right now. That being said, the mileage isn’t all that great either.

Reliability is the big unknown. Will it work in Alaska is another unknown.

Mahindra, the Indian automaker, is planning to introduce a 2.2-liter 4 cylinder diesel pickup in the USA in the summer of 2009Insourcing?

Maybe Dodge or Ford will put the small Cummins engine in one of their light trucks to compete. Of course, by that time diesel will be around $8 bucks a gallon. My Dodge 2500 gets over 20 mpg, and I can’t afford to drive it with diesel at $3.85 per gallon. It waits for the occasional heavy lifting job to come along.

Guess you missed the word “concept”. , they have no diesel truck at present. Only a 2.7 and a 4.0 and both are gas.
