Never say never but this one’s like flapping your arms and hoping to fly. It could possibly be done but it will take a lot of engineering.

Kerry may be Sidney's VP so it would not matter.

My apologies if I sound like a defeatist, but nothing is going to change in MA unless the foolish citizens there stop voting for elitist liberals.

Nothing is going to change until Republicans understand the Massachusetts voter. Romney won the governorship running as a Republican against an entrenched Democrat. How is that possible if voters are foolish? Romney won because he brought believable management skills to the campaign. Voters figured he had the ability to manage and O'Brien did not.

Conservatives in Massachusetts had better start looking at the constituents more carefully. One for starters are union tradesmen. Almost all I know are Democrats who often vote Republican if they have a Reaganesque candidate from which to choose. Yet the Republicans turn their backs on them. That's one reason why the Republicans virtually have no party here in Massachusetts. I remember the days when Teamsters voted for Nixon. George Meany led the Trades to stand up against communism. So what do the Republicans do? Export production and open the floodgates of illegal migrants. What incentive do Republicans give blue collar workers to vote for them?

Two may be overstating it...

My Quaker grandmother was born and raised in MA and I spent some time at UMass in Amherst...holy cow...like being in a Soviet Block country!

“Soviet bock country”.. That was great. Did a lot of those MA Dems. move to Vermont to make it the socialist state that it is?

Ogonowski also republican running for his seat

I'd heard that he was considering a run, but I don't think he's declared for the race.

This is still Massachusetts where they will still support a Kerry over any Republican.

Depends on the Republican. Jim Ogonowski came within a very few points of defeating Nikki Tsongas, the widow of Paul Tsongas, for a Congressional race last year. And that was even with heavy Democrat hitters like x42 coming in to campaign for her.

That was also a special election with a turnout that was a fraction of the most recent general election. Watch November, I'm betting you'll see her votes back up where Democrats expect to see them. This is Massachusetts. They will go conservative Republican about the same time that hell goes Baptist.

Oh, I know that Republicans are usually only about 37% of the vote, but with a good enough candidate, we could get pretty close.

Second place is still first loser. In politics and anything else.

***he is the only person that I know who has served with all three of our nation’s elite counterterror units.***

I thought he was talking about Delta Force, SEALs and Marine Recon.

He might get 30% of the vote, if he’s lucky.

This man should be running for President! We could use a leader like him in these unsure times.

That being said, I hope he cleans Kerry's clock so badly that he will fade away and never be seen or heard from again. I know, that's wishful thinking, but a girls gotta dream once in a while, you know? LOL! Now, if they could only get rid of that traitor, Ted Kennedy, I'd really be happy. ;o)
