The latest FR poll shows that 65%+ will vote for McKeating over Hillary. That is higher than what I thought, but I won’t go hunting down all those people and posting threads telling them why they are wrong. It’s their vote.

McCain’s policies are what I object to—always have. I don’t know why the party-bots would expect people to give up their principles now when they’ve been saying the same thing for five years. They are as tone-deaf as McCain, and that’s tough to do!

I don’t know if McCain needs the votes or not. If he does, we’ll see him make some changes in his policies and select an acceptable VP. If he continues on with his Dem-lite platform, that is contra to the GOP platform btw, then he can live with the consequences. The ball’s in his court.

I understand the reasoning to vote for mccain to prevent a hillary/obama threat/win. We sure don’t want to have a repeat of the perot election either. We’re just in trouble this election cycle and there’s nothing we can do about it.

I don’t know why the party-bots would expect people to give up their principles now when they’ve been saying the same thing for five years.

Because it's all just a big, colorful, nationwide game of shirts-and-skins to them, calcowgirl; not having anything whatsoever to do with actual positions, or philosophies, or real world outcomres thereof... and everything, just absolutely EVERYthing to do with having one, specific team "win," based solely upon whether the player(s) for said team sport the letters "D" or "R" across their respective backs.

That's it. That's all. For all the actual effects any given "player's" policies may end up having on all the rest of us, ultimately -- less freedom of political speech, here; another 40 or 50 illegal immigrants shoved down our gullets, there -- they might as well be cheering on their favorite football franchise.

Sad, ain't it...?

and we should continue to oppose the wrong policies. We can try to influence him. we can make a fuss which is what worked to kill the immigration bill. Just because I support mccain doesn't mean I support everything he says or does.
