I'd lay odds that McCain would have beem the last to mess with campaign funding had he known what was in store for him. Payback couldn't have come at a worse possible time. and the sad truth is that we might be forced to go with McCain even without any promises and still lose. I can't remember when I've felt soooo despondent.
