A lot of readers have wondered why the Texas caucuses have been so slow to report to the media. The answer: They're not reporting in great numbers anymore, and they don't actually have to.
Nonetheless, we might still have a decent estimate of the final result for you to consider.
Hector Nieto, spokesperson for the Texas Democratic Party, explained to Election Central that the caucuses elected delegates to the state Senatorial district conventions that will then elect delegates to the state convention, and weren't required to report to the state party headquarters. The results that have come in came from a voluntary system set up in order to help the media get an idea of what to expect the final delegate result to be.
On the assumption that the current results coming from all around the state represent a decent cross-section of the state as a whole, and that all the Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama district delegates show up to their conventions in their proper proportions, we can make an educated guess.
Give or take, Obama would get 37 delegates to Hillary's 30 delegates, netting Obama a +3 delegate advantage for the combined Texas prima-caucus. "This is believed to be a good sample of what's available throughout the state," Nieto said. "And if this trend continues, one could estimate that."
Bottom line: Hillary's overall gain for March 4, which had 370 total delegates up for grabs, will be about +8.
Go figure.

I waited an hour and a half in line to vote and counted 19 out of 20 people voting in Democratic Primary.
I think something similar happened in Nevada.
I can’t understand how a state can have both caucuses and a primary. Meh.
Because Hillary's people are trying to 1)figure out how to fix them, or, failing that 2)minimize their impact on the "Comeback Kid" narrative.
Texas’ system is really messed up. She won the primary which had the most delegates, yet since they give the loser almost as many delegates, he is able to beat her in the caucus with far fewer delegates.

Don’t blame it on Texas. These are the rules that the Texas Democrat Party set up for itself.
The Republicans don’t do it that way.
In my case it was more like 2 out of 50 or 60, maybe more, voting in the Republican primary. I just couldn't hold my nose hard enough to vote for B. Hussein to "Stop Hillary" or for the Harridan to "Stop Barak" and was one of those two.
The good news, no waiting, the other Republican was almost finished getting her ballot when I walked up.
Caucus delegates....another screwed up system brought to America courtesy of the Dummy ‘Rat party of idiots. Why? because ‘yes they can’ and ‘yes they will’.
This was predicted some time ago given the fact that the delegates are chosen by state senate district and weighted favoring the heavily black urban areas. So the reality is that Obama won Texas in much the same way that George Bush beat Gore in 2000 despite losing the popular vote.

That’s just it. Texas will award more delegates to Obama, but Hillary gets credit for winning when she actually lost.
The mainstream media will never announce this.

I enjoyed listening to the Dems at work today, talking about what a fiasco the caucuses were. One lady talked about how how one of the leaders at hers would scratch off the name and choice of folks who supported the other side as soon as they left, but left all her folks on. And that was one of the milder stories.
I figured Obama would do much better in the caucus. +3 for Obama is a much better result for Mrs. Clinton than I would have expected.
