Late-breaking numbers out of Texas’ odd two-phase voting system put an asterisks on Hillary Clinton’s Tuesday night victory speech, showing gains made by Barack Obama in the delegate grab race had all but numerically canceled out her big win in Ohio

Although Clinton scored major moral — and morale — victories by taking more votes in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island, an Associated Press count of the delegates shows Clinton only reduced Obama’s delegates lead by 12 following Tuesday’s voting. She lost in Vermont to Obama.

In the overall race for the nomination, Obama had 1,562 delegates, including separately chosen party and elected officials known as superdelegates. Clinton had 1,461. It takes 2,025 delegates to secure the Democratic nomination.

For the night, Clinton won at least 185 delegates and Obama won at least 173

I liked the Dallas Morning News headline better:

Some caucuses turn chaotic, and Clinton mulls legal action

Somewhere, Orville Redenbacher is smiling.

Maybe we could rig the general election so that only intellegent folks can vote. We might get a better government out of it.

Depends on who gets to decide what defines intelligence.

I agree. Neither of those two scumbags would settle for being the other one’s designated funeral proxy as a stinking Vice President.

Although Clinton scored major moral — and morale — victories by taking more votes in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island...

Major moral victories?? What are they talking about?

I have no doubt they'll dramatically overhaul it after this cycle, because this convention might end up making '68 look like a Boy Scout gathering.

You got that right, fellow freeper...

...count of the delegates shows Clinton only reduced Obama's delegates lead by 12 following Tuesday's voting.

This should be the talking points for all the news-blabbers today.

Hillary's confetti is now in the trash.

Just as long as black Democrats believe that Hillary STOLE the nomination from Obama, that's all that matters.

you're counting on them voting with principle... libs do not tend to do that... i think they will vote for her anyway if she's the nominee...

What an utterly ridiculous system it is that the democrat party has created for this whole process, especially for the guys who are always railing against the Electoral College.

This bears repeating. I'll remember this the next time I hear a progressive spouting off against the 'unfairness' of the Electoral College.

One of the reporters on FoxNews last night said he’d run into Jessie Jackson last evening in Texas at the Obama headquarters... Jackson was distraught and predicted the Democratic Convention in August would be more fractured and riotous than the one in ‘68....

Upon learning the news, Hillary Clinton shreiked "why don't these people know their place???"

3. Vote

The people in AARP are a big part of the voting problem. It is a socialist group and will prostitute its vote for whatever candidate will take the most money from working Americans and give it to them.
