Just from personal observations, a LOT of Republicans I know crossed over, despite my warnings. I would guess that most Republicans that I know crossed over. Our county is strongly Republican, yet the democrat primary ballot was a 2 to 1 margin over Republican.

The two to one ratio (at least in Texas) is pretty much due to crossover votes and apathy for McCain. The crossovers votes won’t be there in the general election but the apathy non-votes will still effect McCain.
