You have posted the only positive rationale for Rush’s stunt that I agree with.
I still do not agree that it was worth the risk, which is major.
If McCain needs money and is getting beat up by the nominee (assuming the nominee also doesn’t want to regroup financially for a while), then his supporters and those opposed to the Rats need to send him money.
You don’t start “monologuing” with the Hildabeast instead of finishing her off because the other guy needs money.
LAURA INGRAHAM screening calls...setting up strawman argument by only allowing Dems pissed at crossover Republicans.
Let the Repubs in Laura. A little defensive aren’t you Ingra-Ham.
One of his other problems is that he is financially constrained during the Primary season (even when raising money) because he agreed to take campaign matching funds. He has not actually started taking the match and on that basis is trying to opt out. However, he needs a vote from the FEC to do so and they presently do not have a quorom to vote on it because Bush’s appointments are being held up. I doubt that the Senate will oblige Senator McCain by voting these guys into the FEC.
He is not bound during the general election season with Campaign match but that does not start until September.
