*looks at usual anti-Paul drivel*
*looks at threads whining that McCain and not a “real conservative” just got nominated and wondering where the GOP went wrong*
*shakes head, pours a drink ... makes it a double*
To my beloved America. Rest well, my lady.

You know that I have some serious disagreements with Dr. Paul concerning the moral basis for the law, the fact that unalienable rights trump states’ rights, and concerning America’s role in the modern world.
But, congratulations.

....”I still just do not get the hatred some have towards him.”....
We ALL just hate his shoes. Other than that he is a “Great” American.
Wow! Won his primary in his house district? WOW! I think that it is obvious now that all other presidential candidates will drop out of the race! Immediately! And “Dr. Paul will be elected “unanimously”! We all know when we are beaten....
Congragulations to “Dr. Paul” on winning the white house!

I’d also like to be added to the Ron Paul ping list.
I can’t believe a party of supposed conservatives support McAmnesty over a pro-life, pro-small government, pro constitution, pro sound currency, pro second amendment, pro education reform, pro border enforcement, medical doctor turned political leader.
The world has gone insane.
If the rinos want McDole, I guess I’m taking my ball and going home.

There was a report on here earlier that the Constitution Party was planning on drafting him. That was all I was reporting on.

Not deeply saddened. I don’t let emotions (especially about politics) control me. OK, humor seems to have a tight hold...
Looks like Paul should have gotten a good message. Peden lost but percent wise, he did better against Paul in Paul’s own home district than Paul has done in all his races for President. Maybe he’ll realize that obstructionism isn’t a way to move ideals forward and “I’m from the Government, I’m here to help” isn’t the best philosophy.
Paul 37,220 70%
Peden 15,813 30%
Total 53,033

So, here we are. We've finally come to the end of this Paul Rules/Paul Sucks road. He ain't gonna be the president, but we're stuck with him, for better or worse, in Congress. Over the last few months, as a result of these races, I've gotten to know a bunch of freepers, some who I agree with, some which I don't. They fall into 2 distinct categories...
Ehrling, Allegra, Triple E, Anymouse, and even Lormand and SJackson, y'all have been a blast to post back and forth with. You forced me to think, research and didn't let me get lazy on these threads. I've also enjoyed getting to know the personal sides of you guys as well. You're good people, and if any of you find yourself in the New York metropolitan area, hit me up and you've got a meal at my buddy's New Jersey barbecue restaurant on me (No, it's not an oxymoron, it's actually good).
I also sincerely wish the best for Mr. Peden. Even though I was rooting against him, he really does seem like a solid libertarian/conservative and a nice dude to boot. I hope we haven't heard the last of him.
Now, for those of you who had nothing but negativity and "PaulisatraitorSorosisfundingPaulPaulisaloserdopiankookPaulisaracistPaulisatruther" nonsense **coughcyclops,rooneythen00b,etc.cough**, PAUL WINS! PAUL WINS!, PAUL WINS!, PEDEN LOSES!, PAUL WINS! PAUL WINS! Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!! I told you so! Eat it. Let this be a lesson that jmc813 is almost always right, and that you should never doubt my knowledge ever, eeeeeeeever again. This link is for you people...
Peden got pwned
Oh, victory is so sweet. I rule.

So, looks like I owe Jim Rob $20 for Peden losing the Congressional seat and you own Jim Rob $20 for Paul losing the Presidential race (unless you are like some of the Paulites on Daily Paul and Paul forums who think that somehow the 5%-8% popular vote can somehow be translated into a convention win.)

Where are all the Freepers that were claiming that Peden would beat Ron Paul by 20 points?I noticed that gay "Countdown to Paul's defeat" thread from yesterday disappeared.

Where are all the Freepers that were claiming that Peden would beat Ron Paul by 20 points? I wonder, where are all the Paul supporters claiming a neocon conspiracy and rigged Dibold machines?? LOL, I guess there is no Dibold conspiracy when he wins.

I don’t know, Mrs. Paul, how were the $Million Dollar$ fishsticks to hold on to the incumbent seat to a “no-one” with “no money?” :->

Want to make a bet on what the Paultards are betting for now, taking over the convention and turning their 5% popular vote to a nomination by the delegates? How about $200 toward the next Freepathon.
