This was a BAD decision and needs to be reversed, pronto!
Then there is NO REASON for an ILLEGAL leaching off our schools, hospitals and everything else. Why go to school in Mexico? Come to the U.S. and have them PAY FOR EVERYTHING - including the education of the kids.
and perhaps 40 percent of those are illegal.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
At $10,000 or more per student that’s a **LOT** of tax payer money.
Also, the article states that the student held a JOB! That too was illegal.
Also, if this student needs skills to function in society, she should be in her OWN country learning the skills she needs to get along there!
Uh, duh jackass, they're here. That's breaking the law.
Bad enough these people are here and sucking up economic resources, but this overpowering sense of entitlement they have is doubly disgusting.
Looks like Karina is going to miss her senior prom.
I wonder what her husband thinks about that.
Oh, she’s not married? But she’s pregnant.
I wonder what her parents think about that.
“”The episode has caused a furor in town, with teachers and others complaining that Acosta’s treatment violated the spirit, if not the letter,””
THE LETTER OF THE LAW IS THAT IF YOU ARE ILLEGAL WE SEND YOUR A$$ OUT. No discussion. No time for tears. My grandfather had to go back to Finland twice. He was a “handyman” and had a hard time. Did he break the immigration laws of The United States of America? NO.
One less anchor baby, we can hope!
{The episode has caused a furor in town, with teachers and others complaining that Acosta’s treatment violated the spirit, if not the letter, of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that has all but made the nation’s public schools safe havens for illegal immigrants. }
Ummm..So now my American laws are now non-laws because these p.o.s. violate them with impunity?
“The good reverend said: ‘I know people who have been picked up didn’t break a law, they didn’t pass a stop sign, they didn’t do anything.’”
Hey, rev, I’ve got news for you: If they are here illegally, they broke a law. Stick with hearing confessions and stop being so eager to surrender American sovereignty to criminal invaders.
(We can deport every illegal alien but their anchor babies will remain here to torment us)
That is not constitutionally true. I bring the case of EVERY TOURIST THAT HAS HAD A BABY WHILE HERE. ARE THEY ALSO AMERICANS? NO.
The episode has caused a furor in town, with teachers and others complaining that Acostas treatment

I’m willing to bet that every one of these government teachers believes they are a “good” teacher who deserves the annual Mother Teresa award for self sacrifice.
So?...What lesson is the example of these Marxist and Useful Idiot teachers teaching to their students about the rule of law.
"Fresquez, who teaches Spanish and English as a second language, estimated that up to 90 percent of the students in the old, yellow brick high school are Hispanic, and perhaps 40 percent of those are illegal."
We have to face it. The illegals, and the corrupt and greedy Americans who hire them have more friends in Washington than we do.
Not to mention her Social Security number, and the I-9 she had to fill out in order to hold a job.
Whose SS did she use? The I-9 is mandatory everywhere, as far as I know.
The title of the article was a lie. “immigrant”
Isn’t the officer, Acosta, an Hispanic, as well? How can an Hispanic officer, be racist against another Hispanic? Maybe they mean that the officer was anti-illegal immigration.
The teachers and administrators of that school should themselves learn to read. The ruling states that schools cannot inquire about their immigration status. The ruling says nothing about law enforcement officers inquiring. Teachers are not law enforcement officers.
What is it with Roswell and aliens?
“The teachers and administrators of that school should themselves learn to read. The ruling states that schools cannot inquire about their immigration status. The ruling says nothing about law enforcement officers inquiring. Teachers are not law enforcement officers.”
GOOD POINT!
Law enfrocement has the right to inquire!
I WILL remember that too.
It never set foot on American soil. :)
