No, I'd say more like a battered wife finally ditching her abusive husband and looking for a HEALTHY relationship.

No not even close.

It wasn't the party itself, it was the voters including the most conservative voters in the country who gave us our poor Republican nominee.

Moving to another party is as pointless as as switching to a new brand of laundry detergent based on some empty TV commercial.

Yeah I know if feels good though, like a new brand of soap.

I think you’re wrong about that. Once again - like an abuser - you’re blaming the voters. We all fell in line behind George W. Bush like good little Republicans & what did he do? He pushed amnesty on us! Even though we said in loud clear terms we didn’t want any part of it.

What more can a person do? We’ve told the party what we don’t want & they have ignored us. The GOP couldn’t have found a stronger supporter of them than me - I’ve worked my tail off for these people so that they can turn around and rub my face in amnesty. There comes a point when thinking people start seeing the cold hard light of realization. The realization that the party is going to damn well do what it pleases & we can just shut up and vote for them - because “where else are we going to go”?

There’s a whole big bunch of us that are not going to play that game anymore, and if it costs the party another election - then it is their fault - not ours. Call me all the names you want & accuse me of helping Obama/Clinton get elected...blah...blah....blah....blah........it won’t work with me this time.

I think the abuser/victim analogy is very appropriate here.
