The Weather Channel has lost its way, according to John Coleman, who founded the channel in 1982.
Coleman told an audience at the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change on March 3 in New York that he is highly critical of global warming alarmism.
The Weather Channel had great promise, and thats all gone now because theyve made every mistake in the book on what theyve done and how theyve done it and its very sad, Coleman said. Its now for sale and theres a new owner of The Weather Channel will be announced several billion dollars having changed hands in the near future. Lets hope the new owners can recapture the vision and stop reporting the traffic, telling us what to think and start giving us useful weather information.
GWing!
When he put together the Weather Channel, cable was so primative that his effort was considered sheer lunacy. He might have acted stupidly on camera, but he was (is) no dummy.
So who is at fault? Al Gore or his channel that broadcast the hoax?
The last few years have seen it turn into an out and out propoganda machine for the whacko environmentalists. I rarely watch it at all now, where I used to tune in all the time. I now simply use the internet and the Weather Service and the local weather channels in the places of interest that I am planning to travel to or where my family and friends live.
Worse yet, the government and people that are passing laws and regulations based on a hoax.
“John Coleman was the weatherman at Chicagos ABC affiliate Channel 7 many, many years ago”
He’s now the weatherman durring the week for Channel 9 in San Diego.
Ahhh, but now it’s ‘climate change.’ So they have all their bases covered.
TWC founder & global warming skeptic advocates suing Al Gore to expose 'the fraud of global warming'
2. I believe that greenhouses gases and carbon are the RESULT of temperature increases or decreases caused by the sun... p.e.r.i.o.d.
So, Al Gore can put a stick in it.
“Hes now the weatherman durring the week for Channel 9 in San Diego.”
Really? I thought he financially cleaned up when he sold The Weather Channel? He must be as old as dirt by now.
I haven’t watched the WC for some time now. Every time there is a storm coming, I look at the WC and they are rehashing some storm from the past.
It seems to me there is always interesting weather going on in our 50 statee, that to rehash old storm is silly.
Sometimes our area can be under tornado watches, and all I can find on the WC is a story on a tornado from 7 years ago or a hurricane story from 3 years ago.
“He must be as old as dirt by now.”
Maybe that’s why he only works 5 days a week!
BTW, i’m as old as dirt myself!
“BTW, im as old as dirt myself!”
Married 34 years today (3-3-74), so I’m right behind you.
What’s up with Cantore? He looks like death warmed over lately. Is he ill or something?
Is this him?
