John Coleman was the weatherman at Chicago’s ABC affiliate Channel 7 many, many years ago. He was a showman, dressing up as a Pilgrim around Thanksgiving, once standing on his head while doing the weather. He was also well liked by the viewers.
When he put together the Weather Channel, cable was so primative that his effort was considered sheer lunacy. He might have acted stupidly on camera, but he was (is) no dummy.

So who is at fault? Al Gore or his channel that broadcast the hoax?

Agreed. TWC started out as a great service, simply reporting current weather conditions and forecasts around the entire country.
The last few years have seen it turn into an out and out propoganda machine for the whacko environmentalists. I rarely watch it at all now, where I used to tune in all the time. I now simply use the internet and the Weather Service and the local weather channels in the places of interest that I am planning to travel to or where my family and friends live.

1. The sun is responsible for climate changes like global warming or global cooling.
2. I believe that greenhouses gases and carbon are the RESULT of temperature increases or decreases caused by the sun... p.e.r.i.o.d.
So, Al Gore can put a stick in it.

I haven’t watched the WC for some time now. Every time there is a storm coming, I look at the WC and they are rehashing some storm from the past.
It seems to me there is always interesting weather going on in our 50 statee, that to rehash old storm is silly.
Sometimes our area can be under tornado watches, and all I can find on the WC is a story on a tornado from 7 years ago or a hurricane story from 3 years ago.
