I realize I may be whistling in the dark...but, remember Bill Clinton was elected after running on a "middle class tax cut" that he abandoned within a week of inauguration.

I'm definitely not a big McCain guy, but these are trying times for conservative/Republican candidates at all levels.

Maybe the guy is just saying what he has to in order to get elected.

That is more than talk; those are the facts of his past political actions. Very depressing...
