Seems like you chose to leave out the part that said this behavior was normal, no matter where the polling place was.

Banning COFFEE normal? Quite far-fetched. However, IMO, there should be no polling in places where religion of any kind sets the rules for those not of that religion. Specifically because THERE IS NO ALTERNATE CHOICE FOR VOTERS IN THAT PRECINCT!

And I wouldn't be comfortable if ONLY poll workers of a specific religion would choose to work under these circumstances...never know when a candidate of said specific religion would need some extra "help".

Move the polls OUT of religion-controlled venues.

So the Government should just appropriate the buildings and maybe we can have them back when the election is over, LOL! I thought this was a forum for conservatives!

Take a Smoke brake and walk across the street, then get a nip from the flask / Thermos in your car, then come back to work.

As for the "Helping hand" thing, I am glad you brought this up. Please show one, just one instance of "Mormon Election Fraud", Were waiting... (Crickets)

Move the polls OUT of religion-controlled venues.

The problem is the LDS church is the only one willing to lend enough places, or they'd be in schools like mine is.

I wonder what the reaction would be if a Mosque volunteered to be a polling place and the Mosque required that all who entered and all who worked there take off their shoes, cover their heads, wear veils and break five times a day to pray towards Mecca.

I'm sure nobody would complain. After all, it is not politically correct to criticize Muslims.

By prohibiting precinct workers from drinking coffee while they are working there or to prohibit voters from carrying in a Starbucks cup, the Mormon Church is essentially dictating their religion upon the volunteers and voters and it is no different than if a Mosque required women precinct workers and voters to cover their faces.
