Just a question, but re: what anti-gunners expected, did they really expect and not get backlash over gun-free zones? That’s how it reads.

What the anti-gunners expected was a backlash against guns and gun-owners. They didn't expect the outcry from some students on being able to legally exercise their CCW permits and carry on campus.

I haven't seen any details yet on the Wendy's shooting, but look for the same BS coming from the Brady Campaign or the VPC.
