Guys, this can be explained very simply. Israel is winding down its operations today ahead of Rice's visit. They don't want the embarrasment of 'incidents' going on while she is in Israel. On Wednesday the cabinet will decide what level the broader ground campaign will take.
Look for the IDF to move back into Gaza in much larger forces on Wednesday/Thursday.
