The guy I voted for didn’t have a conversion on his views because he wanted to run for President. My guy was already a solid Conservative when he entered the race, and I’m sure he’s been one his whole life.

I hope Mike stays in the race, if for no other reason than to be a pain in McCain's side. Of all the candidates, only Mike, Rudy & Mitt have had any real governing experience, and even Rudy would have been preferable to McCain.

I like Mike and find the comments that he is not a viable candidate unconvincing, especially since he is the only one left out of all the other contenders. What is remarkable, is that he has been able to do this on such a small amount of money.

This election cycle has certainly been full of surprises. Even six months ago I laughed at the idea that Obama or McCain could even have a ghost of a chance; it definitely does seem to be the year of the underdog. But unless Huckabee can pull out a win in Ohio or Texas, I think his run for president this year is all but over. Hopefully he will get started on building a base for 2012. I know that a lot of FReepers don't like the guy, but I see a lot more to like than dislike about him and feel that he would make an outstanding president.
