As quoted by CNN, Farr apparently said at a House hearing that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers should spend more time deporting illegal immigrants from jails and less time rooting them from work sites, a comment that adequately expresses the needs of his local economic constituency.

He told ICE Director Julie Myers that work-site raids result in arrests of people who are basically "at the wrong place at the wrong time. So what happens is the public image of you becomes one of ... essentially a Gestapo-type agency that is knocking down doors."

Watsonville and Salinas, CA, are heavily populated by illegal aliens, so I suppose it’s in the congressman’s best interest to ignore the rest of us. I have written numerous letters to him asking for enforcement of our laws.
