Who will explain these discrepanices:

~snip~
After authorities seized the book and weapons, tests for ricin were conducted but came back negative, Lombardo said.

...
It was unclear how long the vials were in the unoccupied motel room, and whether they might have been overlooked when ricin tests were conducted on Tuesday. Lombardo did not address such questions during the brief news conference.

~snip~

OVERLOOKED?!?! WTH??? So let’s get this straight. The FIRST time- they come in and find the Anarchist Cookbook (or whatever book) open to ricin...they presumably search the room and do not find the two vials in question.

So- did the friend have it in between time? Was it actually there in the room at the time of tests and search- or had the friend removed it already?
