Thanks again!

Craig’s list is not an auction like e-bay. You e-mail the seller/poster and if the item is still available you drive to where it is and pay for it or just pick it up.
The things I mentioned in my earlier post were acquired for free. People remodeled their houses, or upgraded appliances and just wanted to get rid of the old stuff. A lot of great things can be had for free. My brother is the one who deals with Craig’s. He got an electric range with a microwave on top from some people who were remodeling their kitchen. He also got a free washing machine when his broke. In the meantime, ours broke too, so we got together and looked at both of our machines. His was an easy, free fix, but ours was too expensive to fix, so we took the new freebie after fixing his. His had calcium buildup in the drain hose. The freebie is not a fancy washer, but it works great. We’ve had it for over a year now. The range was good too. Not a thing wrong with it-just didn’t fit into the deco scheme.
Craig’s is a good thing!
“And if your office does not have free coffee or tea, bring your own instant coffee and/or teabags from home. Why pay a dollar for something that costs a dime if you supply it yourself?”
Better still, become the coffee club coordinator and price a monthly membership that exempts your own consumption. Heck, you might even be able to add a little bit of income out of the deal!

For those that are handy, cheap cars can save a lot of depreciation and in states like mine, significant $$ on license tags every year.
Look at beaterreview.com if you need (humorous) advice on brands.
